Still, have you no understanding of why the woman is a virgin? Susan is a virgin because she is a devout Catholic. The Christian teaching is that fornication (sex outside of marriage)is a sin. Period. Susan will remain a virgin until she's married, because she believes in the clear and unchanging teaching of the Church. It's disrespectful to sully the woman and her faith by projecting onto her your own hedonistic modern view of sexuality (conventional wisdom, though it may be.)
